BEFORE YOUR WEDDING

1. Check your wedding date availability by leaving an inquiry on my contact page. I will generally reply within 24-48 hours.

2. Secure your date with a $250 deposit and a signed contract. 

3. Consultation: 4-6 weeks prior to your wedding, we will have a full consultation to design your artwork. We will discuss colors, preferences, scenes, poses, and anything else that is important to you on your wedding day. This is one of my favorite parts as I get to hear your vision for your masterpiece.

THE WEDDING DAY

1. Depending on your chosen scene, I will arrive 2-3 hours prior to the ceremony commencing to begin painting the background. When the guests arrive, the painting will already be underway.

2. During your chosen scene (e.g. first kiss, ceremony exit, first dance), I will take photos and videos to use for reference throughout the evening.

3. Once I have captured the moment, I will sketch it onto the canvas over the background and begin painting the couple. ​

4. At the end of the night, your painting will look mostly complete and I will make certain to show you your painting before I leave, or have the grand reveal with photographers if you choose to do so.

AFTER YOUR WEDDING

1. After your wedding, I will take your painting back to the studio to add in some final details and varnish. This process usually takes around 2-4 months depending on the size of your painting.

2. Before varnishing your new painting, I will send you a photo to ensure I have your final okay. 

3. Pick up your new painting from my studio in Mount Vernon, or I will have it shipped to you at no cost.

I’VE ALREADY HAD MY BIG DAY, CAN YOU STILL PAINT IT?

Absolutely! I would be happy to create a customized painting for you based on professional photographs from your event. This allows me the flexibility to work at my own pace, without the pressure of performing and completing it in a limited time. You may choose a size and style that fits your budget.

WHAT TYPE OF PAINT AND MATERIAL DO YOU USE?

I use high-quality water-based acrylic paint on pre-stretched canvas or hard panel boards. The paint is non-toxic and dries extremely quickly, allowing for easy cleanup and transport after an event.

YOU’RE AVAILABLE FOR MY WEDDING, NOW WHAT?

I can place a “soft hold” on your date until you sign a contract. Meaning, if anyone else inquires about the same date, I will check with you prior to booking another client. To officially secure your date, a retainer of $250 and a signed contract are required. 

WHEN WILL I RECEIVE MY PAINTING?

Your live painting will be made available for pickup within 1-4 months after the date of the wedding. You will be informed when your painting is finished, and it can be picked up locally or shipped directly to you at no additional cost.

YOU’RE LOCATED IN MOUNT VERNON, IL, CAN YOU TRAVEL TO MY WEDDING?

Yes! Traveling up to 100 miles to your wedding venue is included in the pricing. If your venue is further than 100 miles away, a travel fee will apply. Travel costs will be included in your proposal and will include compensation for airfare or mileage, hotel accommodations 2+ hours from my studio in Mount Vernon, and a rental car if necessary.
